Are Kettlebells safe and why are they effective?

Yes they are perfectly safe! You may have a bad impression having seen poor technique in the gym, however correct technique (which I focus on) makes them safe and highly effective. They are very effective because unlike other training tools (like dumbbells) the centre of gravity is different and the weight moves - it demands a strong grip, more skill and mobility to master. Plus with 1 Kettlebell you can do a lot!

Do you have an example of a typical session?

I do, yes. However remember all programmes and routines are personalised based on goals, ability, age, stage of training and more factors. So here is an example of a full body session. It includes a focus exercise, gait practice, strength, coordination and mobility.

WARM-UP (Rolls, Crawls, Halos)

1.A) 5 x Pull-ups (FOCUS) 5x5

1.B)3 each side x Windmills (MOBILITY & CONTROL)

x5 Rounds

2.A) 20 x Overhead KB March (GAIT)

2.B) 20 x Gorilla Rows (PULL + LEGS)

x3 Rounds

3.A) 10 x KB Swings (BALLISTICS, HINGE)

3.B) 5 x Push-ups (BODYWEIGHT PUSH)

3.C) 30s x Carrys (STRENGTH + POSTURE)

For time 12 minutes

If you want to try it then have a go and let me know how you get on!

Do I have to use Kettlebells?

For what I do yes. Of course I am not limited to them and adaptable based on your needs. Regularly I use the barbell and other tools for training. Nothing is 'superior', the right tool for the job and Kettlebells are very good at what they do. We will always talk and discuss your individual goals and requirements.

Can I train at home or do I need a gym?

You can train anywhere you want as long as you have equipment and it suits you.

What do I need for online training?

Training online requires a suitable space to train, a reliable/stable Internet connection, the ability to use Zoom, reliable audio preferably using earphones or headphones or a mic. Of course normal things apply such as having water available, suitable clothing and footwear (or barefoot).

Do you train couples/groups/businesses?

Yes I can train couples/groups, we need to talk first to ensure the classes work for the different abilities of everyone.

Do you use an app?

Not yet, in the future yes. For now everything is delivered is an easy and accessible formats. A lot of value is also taken from the 121 sessions that we have.

Can I book individual sessions?

Yes. these are best for specific technique or goal specific training and nothing is provided outside outside of these apart from follow-up material and Q&As. These are £35 each or 10 sessions for £300.

Am I contracted to payments for a certain time?

No. Currently there is only a monthly fee for coaching and I ask for a minimum 2 weeks notice before stopping or the next month is still due.

How much does it cost?

Coaching is individual depending on the situation. It ranges from £80-£200 depending on what you need.

Is there a refund/guarantee?

Yes. There is a 30 day money back guarantee return if you see no progress or benefits.

Are you insured and professionally trained?

Yes. I am a fully insured Personal Trainer for online and in-person training. I have completed recognised and accredited qualifications in Personal Training Level 3, Kettlebell Specialist (Strongfirst Level 1&2 for 5 years) and in Nutrition (BTN Academy).

GOT A SPECIFIC QUESTION?

Thanks!

WHAT SETS THIS APART?

Exercise should build your energy, not 'destroy' you. Simple is best. We want a large work capacity for functional and natural movement

BUILD STRENGTH, ENDURANCE & MOBILITY

Kettlebells & bodyweight exercises combined save you space, time and are endlessly challenging by requiring control & power of the whole body.

Plus if you have your own KB and know how to use it - that is a solid return on investment.

CHICKEN & BROCCOLI, BODY BUILDER STYLE? KETO? PROTEIN LEVELS?

Agreed, its a minefield in nutrition science.

In reality simple makes a big impact, you don't need fancy stuff. With over 15 years chef experience I know how to cook and what to eat that will help make lasting changes in your health & the kitchen.

Food really is a medicine, it affects our daily energy, anti-inflammatory response, hormone balance, strength, immune system and ability to recover from training.

Eat better, feel better
